The Walking Connection was founded in September of 1989 by Gene and Jo Ann Taylor. Terms of Service and Using This Site.

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS PERTAINING TO YOUR USE OF THIS SITE. By using this site, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions, which we reserve the right to modify at any time. You should periodically check these terms and conditions for changes. By using this site after we post any changes to these terms and conditions, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them. Please do not use this site if at any time you choose not to accept these terms and conditions of use.

Scope of Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to your use of all of the sites and services owned or operated by Taylor Marketing and Management, LLC and affiliated companies (collectively "The Conquer The Canyon/Walking Connection," or "WalkingConnection.com," "ConquerTheCanyon.com," or "we," "us," or "our"), including walkingconnection.net, walkingconnection.org, walkingconnection.info, thewalkingconnection.com, and any other site that we may own or operate in the future (collectively, the "TM&M Sites"). Unless we say otherwise, all references to the TM&M Sites in these terms and conditions include all such sites.

Restrictions on Use of Materials
The contents of this site are protected by copyright and trademark laws, and are the property of TM&M, LLC and any other owners. When you download copyrighted material you do not obtain any ownership rights in that material. You may not modify, copy, publish, display, transmit, adapt or in any way exploit the content of the TM&M Sites. Only if you obtain prior written consent from us -- and from all other entities with an interest in the relevant intellectual property -- may you publish, display or commercially exploit any material from the TM&M Sites. You must abide by all additional copyright notices or other restrictions contained in any of the TM&M Sites.

These terms and conditions apply only to the TM&M Sites, and not to the sites of any other companies or organizations, including those to which any of the TM&M Sites may link. We are not responsible for the availability of any other site to which any of the TM&M Sites links and we do not endorse or take responsibility for the contents, advertising, products or other materials made available through any other site. Under no circumstances will we be held responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage that is caused or alleged to have been caused to you in connection with your use of, or reliance on, any content, goods or services available on any other site.

Other sites may link to any of the TM&M Sites only through a plain-text link. Permission must be granted by us for any other type of link to the TM&M Sites.

Submissions
We welcome your comments about any of the TM&M Sites. We will not, however, review or consider any unsolicited creative submissions. We hope you will understand that this policy is intended to avoid the possibility of future misunderstandings in the event that projects developed by our professional staff might seem to others to be similar to their own creative work.

If, despite our request, you send us any creative idea, suggestion or material ("Submission"), it shall become our property. No Submission will be subject to any obligation of confidence by us, and we will not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Submission. We will exclusively own all known or later-existing rights to the Submission worldwide, and will be entitled to the unrestricted use of the Submission for any purpose, without compensation to the provider of the Submission.

Forums
A "forum" means any message board, chat room, or similar interactive service appearing on any of the TM&M Sites. You must register in accordance with instructions that you will find on the TM&M Sites in order to contribute to any forum.

It is forbidden to post on any forum material that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, invades a person's privacy, violates any intellectual property rights, or that would otherwise violate any law. You may not use any forum in a commercial manner. You may not post material that solicits funds, or that advertises or solicits goods or services. You may not post material known to be false. You may not post messages that contain stock touts. You may not post or transmit any information, software or other material that contains a virus or other harmful component.

We are not responsible for material appearing in any forum on the TM&M Sites, except for material signed by an identified representative of TM&M and/or relevant affiliated companies. We are not responsible for screening material posted by users for libel, obscenity, invasion of privacy, copyright or trademark infringement, accuracy, or for any other reason. We retain, however, the right to modify or remove messages or other material that we, in our sole discretion, consider infringing, offensive, abusive, defamatory, obscene, stale, or otherwise unacceptable. We also reserve the right to edit materials for any other reason. Whether or not we modify or remove such material, users remain solely responsible for the content of their messages or postings.

By posting on the TM&M Sites, you give (or warrant that the owner of such rights has expressly granted) TM&M and/or relevant affiliated companies the perpetual, nonexclusive right to use your questions, comments, and postings, in their original or edited form, in television programs, books, articles, commentaries, or in any other medium now known or later developed. You also warrant that any "moral rights" in posted materials have been waived. You are not entitled to any compensation for such use.

We may, at our discretion, terminate the registration of any forum user who violates any of the terms and conditions of use.

Copyright Complaints
We respect the intellectual property rights of others, and require that the people who use the TM&M Sites do the same. In appropriate circumstances, we will terminate the registration of any forum user who is responsible for repeat acts of copyright infringement.

NEITHER TM&M, LLC NOR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATED COMPANIES NOR ANY OF ITS OR THEIR RESPECTIVE LICENSORS OR SUPPLIERS WARRANT THAT ANY FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE TM&M SITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE TM&M SITES OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES THEM AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

READER, PARTICIPANT RELEASE: Exercise is only one part of being healthy, seeing your doctor is another! Before engaging in any Walking Connection or Conquer The Canyon walk, hike, training session (whether virtual or actual) or any other exercise or recreational activities including local, national or international tours, trips or vacations, we urge all individuals to consult a physician or health professional. He or she is most-qualified to advise each about your specific health status, needs and and ability to participate in any physical activity..

The information contained in the materials provided to you by Conquer The Canyon or The Walking Connection is intended to provide general information about walking, trekking, hiking, safety while participating in our adventures, events and tours. It is not intended nor is it designed to act as a medical manual or guide to self-treatment. Keep in mind that exercise, health and nutritional needs vary from person to person, depending on age, gender, family medical history, current health status, and other individual factors.

As a willing participant in Conquer The Canyon and/or Walking Connection programs and adventures, I am aware that Conquer The Canyon, LLC and The Walking Connection walk, trek, hike, active adventure, event or tour (whether in civilized or remote areas) encompass travel by foot, boat, plane, automobile, motor coach, horseback, or the like. I am further aware that the activities planned such as but not limited to walking, trekking, hiking, boating and animal viewing, contain inherent risks of injury, emotional trauma and illness. I recognize that such risks may be present at any time before, during and after the trip, walk, trek, hike, active adventure, event or tour I am participating in with Conquer The Canyon, LLC or The Walking Connection. I am also aware that adequate medical services or facilities may not be readily available or accessible during some or all of the time and that evacuation if necessary can be prolonged, difficult and expensive, and that I bear the sole responsibility for payment for any and all related medical treatment and transportation costs. By registering for a Conquer The Canyon, LLC or Walking Connection programs and adventures, and in consideration of my initial payment and acceptance for the right to participate in any Conquer The Canyon, LLC and/or Walking Connection walk, trek, hike, active adventure, event or tour, now or in the future, I have and do hereby fully assume all risk of physical or emotional injury, property damage, emotional trauma and death, and I hereby waive any and all rights and claims for damages I or my estate or heirs after my death may have against Conquer The Canyon, LLC, and/or Taylor Marketing and Management, LLC., dba., The Walking Connection, any and all employees, independent contractors, volunteers and any individual associated with these walk, trek, hike, active adventures, events or tours, their representatives, successors, and assignees, and will defend and hold them harmless for any and all damages, injuries, mishaps and loss of property suffered in connection with my participation in this walk, trek, hike, active adventure, event or tour. I hereby acknowledge that I have been advised that I must be in good health to participate in this walk, trek, hike or active adventure, event or tour and I hereby represent that I have adequate medical coverage for any and all injuries I might incur.

From time-to-time, Conquer The Canyon, LLC, The Walking Connection, corportate customers, hosting companies, vendors, other guests, companies and sponsors involved may take photographs and/or other electronic images and/or videos of me during this adventure, event or tour. I willingly give my permission to Conquer The Canyon, LLC and/or The Walking Connection the free use of my name, likeness, photographs and other electronic pictures or videos and any opinion expressed by me in any advertisement, newsletter, broadcast, telecast or print media account of this adventure, event or tour without prior notice or any compensation to me whatsoever.
